What splitting a PDF does
This tool creates one new PDF for every page. It is useful when a scanner produced one large document or when a single page must be shared without exposing the rest of the file.
Check before sharing
Open the extracted page and confirm its orientation, crop and readable text. A page can still contain headers, account numbers or other sensitive information. Splitting does not redact visible content or remove embedded metadata.
Common problems
Encrypted files and damaged page trees may fail. Large scans can temporarily use significant memory, so close other heavy tabs. If you later need several extracted pages together, select only those outputs in Merge PDF.
